Saltenna's Senior SaaS / Cloud Engineer will play an instrumental role in the development and implementation of a software platform supporting an entirely new scientific approach to communications and sensing. Saltenna has the world's foremost experts in Plasmonic science with hundreds of published papers and tens of patents, and the applicant will get to help translate this groundbreaking work into products that impact thousands of users spanning both government and commercial sectors. The software platform will utilize Plasmonics to enable communications well outside the capabilities of all current wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, radio, acoustics, and optical, and in so doing will open up the work to a vast array of industries and use cases.

The Senior SaaS / Cloud Engineer role will suit an applicant who enjoys complex challenges:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

Saltenna requires the following experience and background for the successful applicant:

Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
Experience building secure solutions for DOD and/or other classified environments.
Experience innovating, designing, and building B2B and/or government cloud solutions.
Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
Ability to comfortably implement and manage user access rights, data integrity, and accuracy.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with audiences of diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
Ability to set up and maintain development environments that are appropriate to scale, growth trajectory, and anticipated requirements.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

Saltenna prefers the following experience and background:

Cybersecurity expertise with cloud systems used in critical environments such as DOD, IIoT, etc.
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and businesspeople.
Ability to present a professional image for occasional field and customer-facing duties.
